To deliver the Product and/or facilitate the Service provided by Kaplan Hong Kong via Kaplan Financial (HK) Limited; Kaplan Higher Education (HK) Limited; Kaplan Language Training (HK) Limited; Kaplan Language Centre; Kaplan Business & Accountancy School independently or in collaboration, it may be necessary for you to provide us with your personal data. Failure to supply such personal data may result in our company being unable to provide the Product and/or Service to you. The Policy set out hereunder regarding the use of personal data ("Information") is applicable to the Product or Service provided and maintained by the Kaplan Hong Kong (“Company”)

You hereby agree that any Information supplied by you to the Company is on a voluntary basis, and is accurate, true, current and complete. If this is not the case or the Company has reasonable grounds to suspect as such, the Company has the right to cancel and/or refuse the Product or Service to you.


Collection of Personal Data
The Company collects the Information during: 

  1. seminar, workshop, event, contest or sweepstakes registration;
  2. course registration;
  3. ordering of study materials;
  4. free mock exam or question bank registration;
  5. newsletter, Facebook Page or YouTube Channel subscription.


Information supplied by you to the Company and/or collected by the Company may include but is not limited to the following:

  1. name;
  2. date of birth;
  3. gender;
  4. delivery and postal addresses;
  5. telephone or mobile phone or fax number;
  6. email address;
  7. identity reference, including HKID and/or passport number;
  8. professional qualification(s) achieved and certificates;
  9. educational level and transcripts;
  10. candidate number of professional qualifications;
  11. work experience;
  12. name of employer;
  13. occupation;
  14. name, telephone number, or email address of company sponsor;
  15. examination result or test score;
  16. testimonies;
  17. other data in connection with the operations and delivery of the Product and/or Service by Company.


The Company will strive to maintain Information as accurately as possible and only for as long as it is required.


Purposes
You understand that any and all Information you provide to the Company will be collected and may be used for the purposes of :

  1. admission and registrations;
  2. academic and administrative communication;
  3. student management and contacts;
  4. alumni management, contacts, events and privileges;
  5. awards and scholarships;
  6. handling and following up service calls, enquiries and complaints;
  7. billing and payment;
  8. collecting data for identity ratification and records;
  9. research and statistical analysis (data may be used in aggregate form and in such circumstances individual data will not be divulged);
  10. networking opportunities and fund-raising initiatives;
  11. marketing and promotions;
  12. discounts and offers;
  13. conducting surveys;
  14. provision of username and password for access to online service purchased;
  15. maintaining contact lists for correspondence;
  16. meeting any legal, governmental or regulatory requirements in Hong Kong or any other applicable jurisdiction, including disclosure or notification requirements; and
  17. carrying out the user's instructions, responding to enquiries by that user or made on his/her behalf and providing users with the Products and/or Services.


In some instances, you may also be requested to provide certain data which may be used to better tailor the type of information presented to you. In most cases, this type of data is optional although, where the requested product or service is a highly personalized service, failure to provide the requested data may prevent us from providing such a product or service to you.

In the event the Company plans to publicly post or display any of your information on our website or marketing collateral, prior notification will be required. Such information will not be publicly posted or displayed if written consent is not obtained.

To ensure you are well informed of our latest activity news and offers, including any seminars, activities, gifts, discounts, benefits and other promotions, we will continue to provide you information relating to education, training, career development, professional development and self-enhancement.

We will also continue to provide with you the latest offers from Kaplan affiliates and our business partners on various kinds of products and services, including professional development, education, training and career development. Such information could be delivered to you personally through various communication channels by using your email address, correspondence address and telephone number.

You have the option of proactively making choices about the receipt of promotional communications from the Company and have a right at any time to stop the Company from contacting you for marketing and promotion purposes by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the promotional email you receive or by contacting us directly via email at [email protected], together with your registered name and related contact information. 


Personal Information Collection Statement | Recruitment
The personal data in relation to your application will be used for recruitment and other employment-related purposes. It may be provided to departments/offices, and/or any internal/external assessors, where applicable, authorised to process the information for purposes relating to appointment.

Provision of full and complete information in support of your application is necessary for selection purposes. Failure to provide any of these data may affect the processing and outcome of your application. 

All the unsuccessful applications will be disposed of as soon as practicable and not later than twelve months after completion of the relevant recruitment exercises.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may request access to, and/or correction of your personal data in relation to your application by applying to the Human Resources Department of Kaplan Hong Kong by email at [email protected].

This Data Privacy Policy Statement may be updated from time to time so please check this statement periodically. In case of inconsistency between the English and Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
