Our CFA® exam prep program is designed based on The Kaplan Way, a three-phase comprehensive learning strategy: Prepare > Practice > Perform® to maximize your study effectiveness. 

Prepare - Education Program (42 - 60 hrs)

• Sets the foundation
• Acquire new knowledge
• Provide you with just what you need to begin the practice phase

Practice - Revision Course (27 hrs)

• Practice solving problems utilizing the information received in the prepare phase
• Directly interact with new knowledge and skills, identify gaps in performance and build expertise
• Receive guidance and feedback when solving the problems

Perform - Mock Exam & Review (4hrs 24mins -7.5 hrs)

• Put your newly acquired knowledge to the test
• Demonstrate mastery of the objective by answering questions and solving problems

Examination Overview

• Administer by CFA Institute since 1962
• Three examinations (Levels I, II, and III) that must be taken in succession
• Candidates are permitted to take the exam a maximum of two times per calendar year (when applicable), but not in consecutive windows or windows that are six months or less apart.
• Candidates will have a total of six maximum attempts per exam level. This policy is in effect beginning with the 2021 exams.
• The CFA^® curriculum is dynamic and changes annually to meet the nature and complexity of the global investment profession

Candidate Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to enter the CFA^® Program and take the exam, you must:

• Have a U.S. bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree
  • or within 23 months from graduation of Bachelor Degree Program
  • or have four years of qualified, professional work experience (does not have to be investment related)
  • or a combination of work and college experience that totals at least four years. Part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment
• Meet the professional conduct admission criteria (during the application process, you will be asked to sign statements of Professional Conduct and Candidate Responsibility)
• Be prepared to take the exams in English
• Have a valid international travel passport

Become a CFA^® Charterholder

• Pass the 3 levels of exam
• Become regular member of CFA Institute
• 4,000 hours of relevant work experience (accumulated before, during or after the exam)
• Submit 2-3 professional references for CFA Institute and society membership application
• Abide by the Code of Ethics
• Maintain charterholder status
